Funeral Services We Offer at Kenna and Turner
Attended Funerals
This involves a more traditional service where family and friends gather to commemorate a person who has passed away. We can offer several different types of attended funerals, including:
- Traditional religious funerals
- Military funerals
- Motorcycle funerals
- Green and eco-friendly
- Cremation with memorial service
- Wake services
- A celebration of life service
- A non-religious funeral service
We offer a range of packages that are tailored to different needs in a way that is respectful to your circumstances. We aim to make this difficult time as easy as possible, so any additional requests can be taken care of.
Direct Burial Services
A direct burial service is a way of honouring the dead without a formal funeral service. It’s offered to those who might prefer a much simpler or more private, personal burial. A direct burial is a low-cost alternative which includes:
- Care and preparation of the deceased
- A simple coffin
- Transport of the deceased to the ceremony
- Arranging the burial
- Assistance with required paperwork
There is no headstone or memorial plaque as part of this arrangement, but this can always be provided at a later date should you wish.
Cremation Ceremonies
Landican Crematorium offers a convenient option, providing a place for loved ones to gather without having to travel between a funeral service and a crematorium.
Cremation ceremonies with Kenna and Turner are a popular choice because of their lower cost while still including a beautiful service that allows family to say goodbye to a loved one. Some things included in the total price of this service are:
- Transportation of the deceased
- Care for your loved one before the service and cremation ceremony
- Coffin
- Coffin bearers
- The return of cremated remains to either our office for collection or direct delivery to your home
Direct Cremation
Similar to direct burial services, a direct cremation doesn’t involve a funeral service; however, a memorial service or scattering ashes can be arranged at a later date. Again, this might be a better option for those who prefer an easier or more private send-off. With this service:
- Your loved one is in our care before the cremation
- The cremation takes place without family present
- The cremated remains are returned to you after cremation
This option also creates flexibility as you have the choice to hold a memorial service at a later date if you feel inclined.
Memorial Services
We can provide headstones, which can be installed at Landican Cemetery or any other Wirral-based cemetery. Our memorial services can also involve memorial benches and plaques, for which there is also space at Landican Cemetery.
