Do I make different funeral arrangements if I choose cremation?

The process of planning a funeral is very similar whether you select burial or cremation. But you may choose to hold a traditional funeral service before the cremation or a memorial service after the cremation. Both funeral and memorial services can be held at a place of worship, the chapel of rest or at a crematory chapel.

How do you prepare for a funeral emotionally?

Dealing with bereavement will be different for every person and may happen at different speeds. Although grief will take time; initially focusing on the funeral can be a small moment to focus on. Planning what you want to say and wear and spending time with others close to the person you have lost can be a great way to begin emotionally moving through your grief.

How soon can a funeral take place?

Each passing is different and some funerals can take place within 24 hours. Although, we advise between 5 to 10 days for cremations. And it is not uncommon to hold a funeral up to 6 weeks after the death. Especially if family need to make travel arrangements. If a long delay is expected we will recommend embalming.
